Learn to Play Hockey (LTPH)
Grizzlies Learn to Play
The Nashoba Grizzlies Learn to Play Hockey program is designed for boys and girls who are looking to learn the game of hockey and develop their hockey skills. The program is designed for skaters who have not previously been and are not currently on a hockey team.
The Nashoba Youth Hockey Association follows the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM), which focuses on the philosophy of building better players by first building better citizens and athletes. Our goal is to give every skater proficiency on the ice and to foster good sportsmanship and good citizenship in all our members.

WHEN
Each session will be held for 6 weeks on Saturdays at 8:50 am.
Session I: 11/18/23 - 12/23/23
Session II: 2/24/24 - 3/20/24
EQUIPMENT
The following equipment is required for all participants:
Hockey helmet with cage
Hockey skates
Hockey stick
Hockey gloves
Chest pad
Elbow pads
Knee pads
Hockey pants
Protective cup (boys)
Neck guard (recommended)

AGES
This program is appropriate for players at least 5 years old.
Completion of the Learn to Skate program is recommended.
REQUIREMENTS
- Participants must have participated in Learn to Skate and be able to skate independently.
- Registration with Nashoba Youth Hockey.
- Registration with USA Hockey is required for insurance purposes. There is a separate fee for USA Hockey membership for all skaters ages 6 and older. Only one registration per year is required.
- Completion of Nashoba Hockey forms and payment in full prior to the first session.
Uniform
A Nashoba jersey and socks will be provided.
COST
$225 per session
REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Registrations fees are considered non-refundable. Refund requests must be submitted to and are at the discretion of the NYHA Board. More information can be found in our Tuition Policy.
Weather related cancellations are rare and will occur if the rink closes. Participants will be notified in the event of a cancellation. Makeups for sessions cancelled by NYHA will be offered at the discretion of the board and will be based upon available ice time.

Learn to Play (Winter 2024)
The Nashoba Grizzlies Learn to Play Hockey program is designed for the first-time player by providing an engaging fun environment that is focused on skill development.
The program includes 6 weeks of 50 minute on ice sessions.

Time: 8:50 am
Location: Skate 3, Blue Rink, Tyngsboro, MA
Uniform: Nashoba jersey and socks provided
