How to Register as a Coach
Thank you for volunteering your time and effort to support our players and
the Nashoba Youth Hockey community!
Please review the steps outlined below, which are required by both USA Hockey and NYHA. All coaches must complete each of these steps to be eligible to coach in the upcoming season.

Register with USA Hockey for 2025-2026
- Register as a Coach
- Save your registration confirmation and receipt
STEP 3
Lookup USA Hockey CEP Information
- The USA Hockey Coaching Education Program number (CEP#) is different than your USA Hockey member ID
- Confirm Certification Level, expiration date, and Age Specific Modules completed.
- You will need this information to complete Coach registration with NYHA
STEP 4
REGISTER WITH NASHOBA YOUTH HOCKEY
- All coaches must register on our site
- Click the link below, then click "Register" button at the bottom of the white box to complete registration questions
STEP 5
Complete Background Screening
- Must be completed every 2 years
- Screenings are due by August 31st
- Save your screening confirmation and receipt

Complete USAH Safe Sport Training
- Required every season
- Training expires 12 months after completion
- Training must be completed in full BEFORE you are added to the roster as a coach and are allowed to coach the team.
STEP 7
Complete Age-Specific Module(s)
- Choose the Module for all age levels of play you are coaching (ie. 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, 13+, or Fundamentals).
- Only complete once per age level
- Must be completed BEFORE participating in any team activities
STEP 8
Complete Coaching Education Program (CEP) Certification Clinic
- Find, register, and attend the required certification clinic
- Save registration confirmation and receipt
- You can only attend one clinic per season
- All coaches start at Level 1
- Certification Levels range from 1 - 5
- Certification due December 31st
- If left incomplete, you will no longer be able to step on the bench or ice with the team.
Please note:
Some of the steps require you to make payment.
Please save copies of all receipts and confirmation emails.
The NYHA Board will determine whether reimbursement is possible based on the budget and available funds. Coaches will be notified if and when reimbursement requests will be accepted.
Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
